Greater Cleveland LGBTQ+ Community Needs Assessment aims to improve lives of individuals
The College of Public Health is partnering with the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland to conduct an LGBTQ+ community needs assessment aimed at improving the safety and lives of LGBTQ+ people in the area. The assessment will include surveys, focus groups, and interviews to identify the needs and struggles of LGBTQ+ individuals in Cleveland, with a focus on diversity and intersectionality. The project will officially begin in March 2023 and is set to conclude in December 2024. The project leaders hope to replicate the success of a similar needs assessment conducted in Greater Akron and plan to conduct an assessment in the Youngstown area once the Cleveland study is complete.
