The Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley (CFMV) has awarded $191,500 in grants and sponsorships to support local LGBTQ+ projects. These funds will assist two key initiatives: the Lake to River LGBTQ+ Community Needs Assessment, facilitated by Kent State University and covering four counties, and the creation of a community organizer position hosted by Equality Ohio for Mahoning and Trumbull Counties. Additionally, grants were awarded to PFLAG Youngstown and Full Spectrum Community Outreach, and CFMV will sponsor Pride Youngstown on June 22 and Columbiana County Pride on July 20.
